Statement regarding statements about children killed during the siege of Sarajevo

In the past few days, the topic of the number of children killed during the siege of Sarajevo has been raised on social networks and in the media.

The Institute for Research of Crimes against Humanity and International Law as a scientific institution of the University of Sarajevo, as part of its scientific activity, also dealt with crimes against the children of Sarajevo in the period 1992-1995. with the use of scientific methodology.

In the Report from 1996, the Institute for Health Protection of Bosnia and Herzegovina presented lists with individual identities that 1,601 children were killed and 14,946 children were wounded in Sarajevo during the siege.
