The public institution "Sarajevo Canton Memorial Fund", in cooperation with partner institutions, is organizing a press conference on the occasion of the published information about the reconstruction of the cooperative in Kravica, which is intended to remove traces of crimes committed in the Bratunac area.
Kravica was the site of the first mass execution on July 13, 1995, where, according to the judgments of the Hague Tribunal and the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, more than 1,000 people were killed, followed by executions in Orahovac, Kozluk, Branjevo and the dam in Petkovci, where more than 7,000 Bosniaks.
The tender launched by the Municipality of Bratunac, and partly financed by the Government of Republika Srpska, will carry out the reconstruction and rehabilitation of four halls of the Agricultural Cooperative in Kravica and thus remove bullet damage that stands as a memorial to the killed Bosniak civilians in July 1995.
Institutions and organizations that nurture the culture of memory are organizing a joint press conference on this occasion, where dr. Ahmed Kulanić, director of the KS Memorial Fund, dr. Emir Suljagić, director of the Potočari Memorial Center, Prof. Dr. Rasim Muratović, director of the UNSA Institute for Research on Crimes against Humanity and International Law, Amor Mašović on behalf of the Institute for the Missing, and Hikmet Karčić, independent researcher of genocide and war crimes.
The press conference will be held tomorrow (Tuesday), May 3, 2022, at 12:45 p.m. in the Kovača multimedia hall, right after the memorial prayer for the martyrs at the Kovača cemetery.
